Coach Richard Walker
Walker coached wrestling at Wartburg for 22 years before his death in a 1990 car accident. He compiled a dual meet record of 180-93-4, winning conference champion-ships in 1974, 1976, 1977, and 1978.

He was named IIAC Coach-of-the-Year in 1974, 1981, and 1987. He chaired the NCAA Division III Wrestling Sports Committee and was a member of the NCAA Wrestling Rules Committee. He was posthumously inducted into the NCAA Division III Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1993.
