Fritz was a four-time letter winner in baseball and two-time letter winner in football. In baseball, he was the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1984 and 1985 and earned all-conference honors in 1984 and 1985. When his collegiate career ended, he was a .331 lifetime hitter. His 21 career home runs rank him fourth all-time. He had 23 career doubles and 88 RBIs. In football, Fritz was the 1983 Most Valuable Player in the Iowa Conference. He holds school records for longest made field goal (57 yards) and most receptions in a game (12). Fritz is a territory sales manager for Dale Lee Distributing of Cedar Rapids.
