A three-time Most Valuable Athlete for the Knights women's track and field program in 1988, 1990, and 1991, Chapman was a three-time national qualifier in the heptathlon. Upon her graduation, she had held five separate school records in the hurdles and the heptathlon. Chapman also gained fame on the volleyball court, earning three letters and team defensive Player of the Year honors in 1991. She resides in Fairfax and works for RSM McGladrey, the fifth-largest accounting firm in the United States.
