Adix made 580 points in his senior year, when the Knights won the Iowa Conference men’s basketball championship. He held the single-season point record until 1991. A three-time basketball letterwinner, he was first team all-Iowa Conference in 1954 and 1955. The retired Lutheran pastor also gained fame on the track, tying for first in the high jump with a best effort of 5-11 3/8 during the 1955 conference meet. He concluded his Wartburg track career as a four-year letterman. Adix is the brother of the Rev. Bill Adix, a 1998 Hall of Fame inductee.
