The Rev. Bill Adix ’53
Portland, Ore.
Retired Hospital Chaplain

Adix led Wartburg to its first Iowa Confer-ence basketball cham-pionship in 1952. Noted for his sweeping hook shot, he was the first player in the college’s 1,000-point club. His three-year scoring total was 1,179, and all but 131 of those points came during his last two seasons.

He led IIAC scoring in 1951-52 with a 20.7 average and in 1952-53 with a 26.4 average. He was an All-IIAC selection both years. His 41 points in a single game stood as the school record for decades.
