Adix led Wartburg to its first Iowa Confer-ence basketball
cham-pionship in 1952. Noted for his sweeping hook
shot, he was the first player in the college’s
1,000-point club. His three-year scoring total was
1,179, and all but 131 of those points came during
his last two seasons.
He
led IIAC scoring in 1951-52 with a 20.7 average and
in 1952-53 with a 26.4 average. He was an All-IIAC
selection both years. His 41 points in a single game
stood as the school record for decades.
