Orientation
Each spring Global and Multicultural Studies conducts a series of required orientation sessions for students planning to study abroad for a semester or the year during the coming academic year. Orientation sessions  are mandatory. Check with GMCS Office for dates, times and locations. The sessions cover pre-departure logistics, cultural adaptation, health and safety issues, sessions with Sojourners who have previously studied abroad, and information from Financial Aid, Controller's, Residential Life, and the Registrar offices. In addition to attending the sessions, departing students must complete all required forms, a "country notebook," and a pre-departure checklist.
