Tanzania: Diers Program

Tanzania is East Africa's largest country. It boasts magnificent wildlife reserves, the Serengeti Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and safari opportunities. The Masai people have a distinct presence in Tanzania. Swahili and English are the official languages among many local dialects. This Diers Program provides the opportunity to experience the beauty of Tanzania firsthand by interacting with the people who live there.

The program provides an opportunity for students to live and work for 12 weeks at the grassroots level of an African culture. Students participate in the life of people by working with them on a project, being immersed in the culture, and gaining new insights into themselves in the process.
