Why this form?
We ask you to fill out this form when you request the addition of a periodical subscription because it is important for libraries to evaluate new subscriptions with particular care. Periodicals require ongoing commitments. Short runs of titles that are added, then cancelled, are virtually useless. Periodicals also cost more than books. The average price for an academic journal is now $135, and every year inflation runs 10-15%.
