Introduction

Microsoft
Excel is a well known but rarely used program in the Microsoft Office
suite. In this the first workshop of four we discovered some of
the basics of Excel, including: what it is used for, basic commands,
formulas, using a worksheet correctly and also learning how to save,
print, and modify a file correctly.

#2 builds on the Microsoft Excel basics taught in the first workshop.
In this workshop we learned how to change the width of columns,
select ranges of cells, format numbers, more work with formulas,
and also dive into the cool fill function. Handout

Tables and Graphing with Microsoft Excel-Workshop

Workshop
builds on the principles and ideas taught in the first two workshops.
In
this workshop we will focus on tables and the graphing functions
available in Excel; more specifically the operations on cells, creating
text boxes in the worksheets, working with multiple worksheets and
then finally creating charts in the worksheet. In addition we will
apply our learning to applications in teaching and the classroom.

The
final installment in a four part series on Microsoft Excel building
on the last three workshops, in this installment we will focus on
Data Management, Pivot Tables, and their unique functions. We will
work with large amounts of data and organize them into lists and
summarize the data to discover patterns using Pivot Tables. Handout
