Why DM?: Why DM? I just love it! It is all for a great cause and we have a ton of fun. We get to meet some of the children and the families of those children that we help by having Dance Marathon and helping out Iowa Children's Miracle Network. The actual event day brings a variety of people together for a common cause to celebrate the children and the accomplishments that we have all made! It brings a sense of real life struggles to our attention, creates new friendships, and gives everyone a great reason to have fun and dance!

Why DM?:  I chose to become involved in Dance Marathon when I heard what it was about from my sister.  I thought it was for a great cause so I decided to participate my freshman year and after that experience, I knew I had to get involved more.  Getting involved in Dance Marathon is my way of giving back to the Children’s Miracle Network who did wonders when I was born premature at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.  This cause holds a special place in my heart and I can't help but give back.

MORALE CAPTAINS:
Morale Captains are just what the name says: the confidence and enthusiasm of the group.  They are the energy of the event. Morale Captains have a large role in making sure that people have positive attitudes and are staying motivated to push through to the end of the night.  They dress up each hour according to a particular theme and lead the Morale Dance on stage while all dancers participate.
