Raising over $50,000 FTK in 2016
Dance Marathon is a nationwide philanthropic event that takes place on Wartburg’s campus. It is completely student-run and requires year-round planning in order to fundraise money to send to the kids at the University of Iowa’s Children’s Hospital, which is affiliated with Children’s Miracle Network. We honor the families of treated patients at the event and provide lots of exciting entertainment. Dance Marathon is a way to get involved, make instant friendships, help children in need, and give back to the community. Essentially, it’s FOR THE KIDS!

Mark Your Calendars: March 25, 2017, at 9 a.m. If you can’t be there and would still like to support us in our efforts to raise $60,000, please donate.

About Dance Marathon

Dance Marathon is neither dance nor marathon; it is a celebration of life.  (It’s also a fundraiser.) Wartburg College Dance Marathon helps children with life threatening illnesses, giving financial and emotional support to hundreds of families across Iowa. All of the money raised through our event is given directly to University of Iowa Children’s Hospital through Children’s Miracle Network. Each March, we celebrate our year-long fundraising efforts by standing on our feet for TWELVE hours to symbolize our support for the families who spend countless hours in hospital waiting rooms. But it’s not a punishment for us, it’s a party.  We listen to music, play games, hang out with the kids we help, and even do a bit of dancing.

Dance Marathon is For The Kids.  We build up to our big day all year long by raising money for the kiddos at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.  After a dancer raises $100, they get to come to the party.
