The scholarship is renewable for no more than four years and the student must become a Journalism and Communication major or minor.

What should I bring?
Wartburg will supply you with most of what you need, but you’ll still need to bring essential items for your stay on the Wartburg campus.

  • Bedding (sleeping bag or blanket/sheet & pillow)
  • Personal toiletries (toothpaste/brush, shampoo, soap, etc.)
  • Personal medications (Wartburg staff will not be responsible for holding onto any meds nor distributing medication. We are willing to remind students to take meds and/or provide refrigeration for necessary items)
  • Water Bottle (it’s good to stay hydrated!)
  • Camera, if you’d like – We’ll be taking lots of pictures, feel free to do the same!
  • Speech items – If you have a piece you’d like to work on or use an iPad to make films, bring it along; it might come in handy!

What don’t I need?
Please don’t bring large items for the dorms, such as small refrigerators, TVs, or large fans – these will just be more hassle for you. You probably won’t need to bring other food – our cafeteria will have plenty of food available for every growing man and woman at the camp, and we’re able to accommodate almost any dietary need. Though, bringing small snack at night won’t be a problem. Don’t bring a bunch of money. We should be able to cover almost every need you’ll have. It is possible you may want to purchase a soda/beverage from a machine, but we won’t have any other hidden charges while at camp.
