Youth and Family Ministry Certification

The course and school include:

  • Adventure expedition and small group experience which models effective approaches to youth and family ministry, including one week of off-campus travel
  • "How to" youth ministry ideas that include confirmation, education, planning, group development, outreach and much more
  • Theological and biblical training from the Wartburg Seminary faculty and staff
  • Social and psychological studies in youth and families
  • Personal evaluation and affirmation of new growth
  • Certification and written evaluation for immediate congregational impact
  • Assistance in discovering youth and family ministry opportunities

Wartburg Partnership
Wartburg College is partnering with Wartburg Theological Seminary to offer the seminary’s Youth Ministry Certification School each May Term at no charge to students. Students who participate in the school receive credit for RE 375 Youth and Family Ministry at the college and certification thorough the seminary. The certification school is an excellent opportunity for students considering youth ministry as a profession or as a future volunteer opportunity. The course is not eligible for Faith and Reflection credit.
