Dining Facilities

The Mensa

The Mensa is located on the second level of the Saemann Student Center. It offers it's patrons a ten court system allowing them to choose from a variety of options at each meal with seconds being available at all courts. Choose from salad/deli bar, wok, pizza, grill, taco bar, pasta and main entrée courts, a soup of the day and dessert bar, as well as a huge cereal bar and fruit & fiber court. The combinations are endless.

Students are required to present an ID card which is swiped for each meal period. It is nontransferable under any circumstances and no credit can be given for meals missed. Misused cards will be confiscated and turned over to the Director of Dining Services and/or the Vice President for Student Life. If a student does not possess their card upon entrance to the Mensa, the checker will direct them to the Dining Services Office in order that a temporary or new card can be issued.

Faculty, as well as guests, are always welcome in the Mensa. Cash, including local checks, are accepted, as well as a valid Declining Balance Account. Remember, every time you use your Declining Balance in the Mensa, your total purchase will be discounted 10% making this account a great value. Students with guests on campus are welcome to pay for their meals using their Declining Balance Account.

The Zesty Orange

The Zesty Orange, located on the second floor of the Wartburg-Waverly Sports & Wellness Center, is the newest coffee shop on campus.  Overseeing the recreational pool and fitness center, the Zesty is open a vast amount of hours to serve the needs of its customers and offers a menu ranging from healthy items such as salad and wraps to smoothies, coffee drinks, bakery items, pasta plates and personal pizzas. The building is patronized by the Waverly community, visitors, students and faculty/staff alike. Besides the general public, many sports events are hosted in the "W" which brings in new customers to the coffee shop and allows us to also offer an additional concessions area.
