Endowed Chairs & Professorships
Special endowed funds may be designated to support faculty positions. An endowed gift supporting a faculty position will:
- Assist the College in recruiting and retaining superior faculty
- Enrich the academic program through scholarship and teaching
- Provide funding for professional development and special projects related to the purpose of the position
- Support undergraduate research related to the purposes of the gift.
| The gifts for these positions may be one of the following: | |
| Endowed Professor | $500,000 or more to support a faculty position named in recognition of the donor or someone the donor wishes to honor |
| Distinguished Professor | $1,000,000 or more to establish a Distinguished Professor named in recognition of the donor or someone the donor wishes to honor |
| Endowed Chair | $1,500,000 or more to establish an Endowed Chair named in recognition of the donor or someone the donor wishes to recognize |
| Distinguished Endowed Chair | $2,000,000 or more to establish a Distinguished Endowed Chair named in recognition of the donor or someone the donor wishes to honor |
