WHY WARTBURG: Growing up I found out about Wartburg from my two brothers, who both graduated from the school. Through visiting them, I knew that Wartburg was a special place. I looked at a wide variety of colleges, but all along my heart was set on Wartburg. My brothers and I can attest to this: Wartburg feels like home. My sister clearly feels the same, as she will become the fourth Brannaman sibling (out of four) to attend this incredible institution.

WHAT DID YOU NEVER IMAGINE YOU WOULD DO BEFORE COMING TO WARTBURG: I never imagined that I would find such a deep passion for singing. I always enjoyed singing, but I had no idea how much that enjoyment would grow. I truly love music now, and Wartburg’s fantastic choral program helps me live out that passion each and every day. Even though I’m not a music major, I still have the incredible opportunity to participate in Wartburg’s world-renowned vocal ensembles.

WHAT MAKES THE WARTBURG MISSION UNIQUE: Wartburg’s pillars (leadership, service, faith, learning) are a central part of the college. While other institutions have important values, Wartburg makes sure that students understand what they mean and how they apply to our lives in a tangible way.
