What does "be
orange" mean to you?
To me, “be orange” means a lot. It means stepping
out of your box and striving to reach goals. It means to be enthusiastic
about every aspect of life and to take each opportunity to better
yourself and others.
Why did you decide to attend
Wartburg?
Besides the amazing communication arts department Wartburg offers,
I chose Wartburg because of the atmosphere. Of the many colleges
I visited, Wartburg had something very unique. Everyone from the
faculty to the students were enthusiastic and passionate about
what they were doing.
What is your favorite aspect
of Wartburg?
The sense of community at Wartburg College is tremendous. Faculty
and staff have strong relationships with the students and are
always willing to lend a helping hand to one another. The relationship
between Wartburg and the Waverly community is also amazing. I
have had the opportunity to really get involved here, more than
I would at a large university. I have built strong friendships
through classes, the Tower Agency, Student Senate, ETK, the Volunteer
Action Center and CAPS. |

Memorable Moment
Though I have had many wonderful Wartburg experiences, my favorite
happened far before classes started. I greatly enjoyed the ROPES
course. It was here that I first started meeting faculty, staff,
and classmates. Those that I met on ROPES have become my closest
friends. I learned more about trust, courage, self-esteem, and friendship
during this experience then I ever thought possible. I couldn’t
have asked for a greater welcome into the Wartburg family. |
