Middle School Youth Day

Hungry for Change

Wartburg College hosted its annual youth day on November 2, 2013. 54 Wartburg students, faculty, and staff provided a day filled with fun, learning, and fellowship for 121 middle school students and leaders. This year's event, Hungry for Change, increased awareness of global and domestic hunger-related issues. The learning opportunities equipped participants with knowledge and tools to bring back to their own congregations regarding actions they can take to help fight hunger.

The registration money for the event was donated to Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation to provide food assistance for families in Bremer County and to ELCA World Hunger to respond to global hunger and poverty. Wartburg College is dedicated to challenging and nurturing students for lives of leadership and service as a spirited expression of their faith and learning.
