The Leadership Program for Musicians
Serving Small Congregations (LPM) is open to all denominations.
It is a national program, and organizations throughout the country
host local programs, such as this Wartburg College offering.
Participants worship together, receive
instruction, enjoy social time, build relationships, and return
to their congregations with increased vocational awareness, musical
skill, heightened commitment to music ministry, and an increased
sense of purpose as lay ministers.
Upon completion of the two-year program,
musicians receive the Presiding Bishop’s Certificate in Music
Ministry.
Each year includes five weekend seminars.
Each seminar runs from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon. Tuition
includes courses, dinner Friday, and lunch Saturday. The cost of
tuition does not include hotel accommodations, books, and materials.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Amerihost Inn for a special
rate. Use code: Wartburg College LPM. You must attend all the courses
both years to receive the certificate.
Scholarships of up to $150 per year
are available. Awards are based on the size of your congregation.
For more information, contact the Rev. Ramona Bouzard, ramona.bouzard@wartburg.edu,

You may choose to forego certification
and take the course(s) of your choice at $150 each per year. Courses
offered only one year cost $300 each.
