As lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ) students here at Wartburg College you have hopefully experienced a very supportive environment through student groups and college-backed non-discrimination policies. Unfortunately the workplace can be quite a different story in terms of openness and support for LGBTQ employees. You may find yourself with all sorts of career planning challenges that are related to your sexual orientation. The following webpage has been put together by your peers and Career Services as resources to help you as you start to consider the issues faced by LGBTQ people in the workplace. There are no right or wrong answers to the questions you have about coming out at work or during your job search so please feel free to contact Derek Solheim or Cassie Hales directly with any questions you may have.
