Sophomore
As
a sophomore pre-med biology major at Wartburg College, you
should make sure you:
- Take
stock of what you have achieved your freshman year. Did
you get good grades? Are you making progress toward your
goal of getting into medical school? Consult your advisor
about these issues.
- Continue to build clinical
experience.
- Continue to build volunteer
experience for your chosen cause/organization.
- Remind yourself of the
MCAT format. Begin studying the
summer before you junior year.
- Keep your GPA
up!
- Make sure you keep in
mind an alternative or Plan B.
In
terms of coursework:
- Take
BI143, the third course in the introductory sequence for
biology majors.
- Take
Genetics (BI 211).
- Take
Organic Chemistry I & II (CH 211, CH 212).
- Consider
taking Calculus (MA 201) if you haven't already.
- Continue
to consult your advisor for major and general education
requirements for your degree.
