  • Fill out and complete the secondary application that schools contact you about.
  • Promptly ask that letters of recommendation [Click here to see "Letters of Evaluation: What Students Should Know"] be sent to these schools by your chosen letter writers.
  • Begin preparing for your medical school interview.
  • Letters of acceptance and rejection begin arriving in mid-March.
  • Be prepared to implement your Plan B.
  • Notify those who wrote letters on your behalf of the outcome.

In terms of coursework:

  • Make sure your enroll in BI455-BI456 (student research).
  • Histology (BI401 ) is generally quite helpful in medical school.
  • Continue to consult your advisor for graduation requirements.
  • Take a fun and interesting elective! You've worked hard, expand your horizons and have fun with your final year in undergraduate school.
