Grade Point Average

Your grade point average (GPA), most specifically the GPA you attain in your science courses is a very important admissions criteria. Most M.D. medical schools admit students between a 3.6-3.7 overall GPA, while D.O. medical schools admit students between 3.4-3.5 GPA, and podiatry schools admit students with an approximate 3.25 GPA.

Your GPA should be calculated for you each year on your transcript, which also allows you to calculate what grades you need to attain a target GPA.
