Bibliophilanthropists?
Bibliophiles love or admire books. Philanthropists have a desire
to help others through gifts to worthy causes. So we have made
up a new word, bibliophilanthropist, to describe the alumni, parents,
and friends who provide gifts for books and library resources
to benefit Wartburg students.
We’re looking for a cadre of Wartburg bibiophilanthropists
to provide a continuing source of regular revenue for library resources
that support a quality liberal arts education. We call it the Wartburg
Bibliophilanthropy Association.
Gifts to the Bibliophilanthropy Association have added 878 books to the Vogel Library since the first appeal in Fall 2004. Equally important, friends of the library have contributed toward an array of electronic resources vital to education in the 21st century.
The average academic book costs $75. Please make that the basis of your annual gift. But don't stop there. Consider funding multiple books or targeting your gift toward electronic resources that help Wartburg support a quality liberal arts education for our students.
How
to donate to the Bibliophilanthropy Association:

1. Submit
your donation through the online giving form.
Step 2. Complete
a bookplate card. A bookplate with your name will be
provided in each book you donate to the library.
