The National Acrobats of China troupe was founded in 1956 and has been one of the most influential big acrobatic troupes in the world.

The National Acrobats of China have taken part in national and international acrobatic competitions and festivals since the 1980s and made outstanding achievements. “Straw Hats Juggling” and “Plates Spinning” won the Golden Awards at the Fifth China National Acrobatics Competition in October, 2000. “Dream Step Dance—Plate Spinning” were awarded “Golden Prize” at Fourth China National Youth Acrobatics Competition” in August, 2002. In February of 2007, The troupe’s “Icarian Boys” of 12 performers won the Golden Award ( President’s Award ) at the Cirque de Demain in Paris. In August of 2007, “Drum Girls” of 9 won the Silver Award at the Moscow International Circus Festival.

Season ticket requests should be made by mail or phone and include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Season tickets may be purchased early, beginning July 14. After Monday, July 28, individual event tickets will also go on sale.
