Schmidt Art Gallery is located on the ground floor of the Fine Arts Center at
Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Exhibits are composed of work from local,
national, and international artists.

PAM ECHEVERRIA: RANGE AND PATTERN
Sept. 9 – Oct. 27
Pam Echeverria is well known for her richly patterned watercolors. In these new works on canvas, she expands her vision both in scale and theme. Through color and pattern, the paintings explore surface topographies of human environments ranging from arranged table tops to cultivated landmasses.
CHRIS WUBBENA: SPEAKING WHILE LISTENING
Nov. 4 – Dec. 15
Chris Wubbena is an art professor at Southeast Missouri State University and a native of Waverly. “Speaking While Listening” is a poignant artistic exploration of a personal journey he made to post-war Vietnam with his father, a veteran of the conflict.
BILL WITT: ENCHANTED BY PRAIRIE

One of Iowa’s premier landscape photographers presents his first gallery exhibit. These images of Iowa’s native beauty are featured in the recent monograph book, Enchanted by Prairie, published by the University of Iowa Press.
