Gallery Schedule
Being(s)
and Circumstance
Kelly Parr Sept. 14 to Oct. 4
New
York artist Kelly Parr utilizes anonymous portraits from the mass
media, displayed using common advertising methods (billboards, cardboard
props, projections) to explore the inverted meanings created between
the production and consumption of these images.
Opening
Reception: Friday, Sept. 15, 6–8 p.m.
Spirit
of Inquiry
Sally Kuzma / Denis Roussel Oct. 8 to Nov. 6
French
artist Denis Roussel and American artist Sally Kuzma utilize scientific
methodology and digital imaging technology to inquire into the nature
of reality through aesthetic endeavor. Looking externally to the
teeming botanical life of the natural world and inwardly to the
physical traces of one’s own body, Roussel and Kuzma each
seem to empirically discover a sense of active presence through
their close and intimate observations.
Opening
Reception: Sunday, Oct. 8, 2-4 p.m.

New York City to display paintings reflective of their Midwestern
experiences. Cheerleaders, strip malls, dogs, and tractor trailers
populate their evocative and post-ironic paintings.
