2007 Team Knight Riders
The Wartburg College Knight Riders will cycle on the Register’s Annual Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) from July 20-26, 2008. Approximately 29 alumni, parents, current students, and friends of the college are part of this year’s Knight Riders team.
The team will leave from Waverly on July 19 for Missouri Valley, the first overnight town. The route also includes Harlan, Jefferson, Ames, Tama/Toledo, North Liberty, Tipton and Le Claire. The Knight Riders would like to thank in advance the many Wartburg alums, parents, and friends of the college that are opening their homes and backyards for the team to stay throughout the week. You can experience the Knight Riders on RAGBRAI by viewing the 2008 team blog. All team members will have the opportunity to post their RAGBRAI experiences and pictures on this web site. Team member training updates will also be available leading up to RAGBRAI.
Wartburg Cycling Jerseys available in July
The Knight Riders will wear custom-designed Wartburg cycling jerseys during this year’s RAGBRAI. The jerseys were designed by Wartburg alum Chris Knudson ’01, who serves as the college’s web developer/manager. If you are interested in purchasing the 2008 Wartburg jersey, call Bike Tech at (319) 266-5979 or stop by their store in downtown Cedar Falls, Iowa. They will be available for purchase after July 14. The jerseys will arrive to Wartburg by July 14 and can be shipped to you for an additional fee.

Important Information July 19, 2008 - Knight Riders leave Waverly for RAGBRAI July 20, 2008 - RAGBRAI XXXVI begins July 26, 2008 – Last day of RAGBRAI XXXVI This is the second year for the Wartburg Knight Riders to ride in RAGBRAI. Last year, approximately 31 individuals rode with the team. The total included 21 participants who rode the entire route and 10 who joined the group for a day. Team members hailed from Iowa, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, and Wisconsin.
