International Admissions

You should apply to Wartburg well in advance of your intended date of entrance. Allow time to secure a visa and complete other preparations once you have been accepted. Fall Term begins in early September; Winter Term begins in early January; May Term begins in late April. Summer sessions begin in early June and mid-July.

What You Need To Apply

1. Application form
Complete the International Student Application Form. Click here to download the application form.

2. School records
Submit official transcripts (records) from all secondary schools and all other accredited schools that you attended. Original transcripts (including official English translations) are required for registration. Photocopies or faxes are acceptable to initiate your application.

You will be required to demonstrate your mathematics ability by taking a placement exam or by completing a "non-credit" review course in mathematics.

3. Demonstrated English proficiency
You must submit your official TOEFL or IELTS score report or other evidence of English language ability. Some new students are asked to give writing samples and other on-campus assessments before registration. This requirement may be waived for students whose secondary school instruction is in English or who have successfully completed one or more academic years in an American secondary school, or have TOEFL 550 or IELTS 6.0 or better.

4. Confidential declaration and certification of finances
You must have this document signed by your sponsor, parents or guardian, and a bank official. A bank statement must accompany this form. Click here to download the declaration and certification of finances.
