Fred Ribich
Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty
Since joining the psychology faculty
in 1977, Dr. Ribich has been teaching psychology and general education
courses; he also has served as a department chair and directed the
college's Assessment Center. In 2001, he assumed responsibilities
for a combined Office of Institutional Research and Assessment;
the office reports directly to the College President. Dr. Ribich collaborates with department chairs and program coordinators
to coordinate academic staffing and scheduling, including summer
school; identifies and notifies students on academic probation and
suspension; maintains the academic catalog; and provides administrative
support for the development of accreditation efforts and other administrative
activities.
Dr. Ribich earned his undergraduate
degree from Ohio University in 1969, worked at Johns Hopkins Medical
School as a research assistant, and completed his Ph.D. in experimental
psychology/learning and memory at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale
in 1977.
Stephanie Tekippe
Interim Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs
Ms. Stephanie TeKippe, lecturer in computer science and coordinator of instructional technology and design, is responsible for assisting faculty with instructional technology and design. Ms. TeKippe has a B.S. in elementary education with an emphasis in mathematics from Iowa State University, a masters degree in instructional technology from the University of Northern Iowa, and is completing a doctorate in instructional technology through the University of Phoenix. She has been a teacher in the Johnston School District as well Westwood School in Ankeny and Fairmeadows in West Des Moines. Ms. TeKippe has an office in Luther Hall and is available to faculty via e-mail, personal consultation, and faculty development programs.
