Wartburg Players to present “The Little Foxes”

The Wartburg College Players will present “The Little Foxes” Nov. 6-7 and Nov. 12-14.

The show begins each night at 7:30 p.m. in McCaskey Lyceum and is under the direction of Dr. William Earl, associate professor of communication arts. Admission is a freewill donation.

“The Little Foxes,” written by Lillian Hellman, focuses on three family members who plot against, steal from and deceive each other. The play shows how one family member, Regina, provides her portion of the large sum of money the family needs to complete a deal.

The production’s cast includes:

Sarah Wipperman, a junior, will play the role of Addie. Wipperman is an undecided major and is the daughter of Beck Wipperman of Dallas Center and Bridget Bormann of Lakeville, Minn.

Dean Pieper, sophomore, will play the role of Cal. Pieper is a psychology major and is the son of Cindy Smith of Jesup and Brian Pieper of Iowa Falls.

Amelia Kischer-Browne, sophomore, will play the role of Birdie. Kischer-Browne is a music performance major and is the daughter of David Browne and Karlene Kischer-Browne of Waterloo.

Mitch Grubb, sophomore, will play Oscar. Grubb is a communication studies (theatre) major and is the son of Nancy Grubb of Washington and Robert Grubb of Wayland.

Matt Hodak, a first-year, will play Leo. Hodak is a communication studies (theatre) major and is the son of Christopher and Kathy Hodak of Aurora, Colo.

Mary-Kate Arnold, a senior, will play Regina. Arnold is a psychology and communication studies (theatre) major and is the daughter of Mary K. and the late Rev. Dr. Kenneth Arnold of Sheldon.

Denis P. Drolet will play Marshall. Drolet is associate professor of chemistry.

Jesse Fehr, a sophomore, will play Ben. Fehr is a communication studies (theatre) major and is the son of Ron and Sandy Fehr of Boone.

Danielle Dohlman, a sophomore, will play Alexandra. Dohlmann is a political science and communication studies (theatre) major and is the daughter of Roger and Jackie Dohlman of Hampton.

Carston Earl, a senior, will play Horace. Earl is a communication studies (theatre) major and business minor and is the son of Dr. William Earl of Waverly.

Kathryn Mauger-Sonnek, a sophomore, is the understudy for Alexandra. She is a premedicine major and is the daughter of Tom Sonnek and Marlea Mauger of Reinbeck.

Erin Harmon, a first-year, is the understudy for Addie. Harmon is a political science and international relations major and is the daughter of Joseph and Kim Harmon of Fort Madison.

Katherine Hoobler, a first-year, is the understudy for Regina/Birdie. Hoobler is an English major and is the daughter of Elizabeth and Keith Wallace of Algona and Harvey Hoobler of Whitmore Lake, Mich.
