The All-American Rejects have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, been certified platinum, multiplatinum and gold, and on Sunday, Oct. 7, the rockers will headline a concert in Wartburg College’s Levick Arena.

Doors will open at 7 p.m., with headliner Keelan Donovan taking the stage at 8 p.m. AAR will begin at 9 p.m. Public tickets are available for $20 each beginning Saturday, Sept. 8, at www.wartburg.edu/AAR. The website will not be live until 8 a.m. on Sept. 8.

The group released its self-titled debut studio album in 2003, which featured hits like “Swing, Swing” and was eventually certified platinum. AAR’s second studio album, “Move Along,” was released two years later and included mainstream hits like “Dirty Little Secret,” “It Ends Tonight” and “Move Along.” Their third studio album, “When the World Comes Down,” was certified gold, and the first single, “Give You Hell,” peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Though they haven’t released a full-length album since 2012, the All-American Rejects have released multiple singles, including “Sweat” on July 7, 2017.

“ETK reached out to the students last spring to see what kind of music the student body wanted to bring to campus. From there, we gathered a list of possible acts we could bring and had the students vote again on what artist most students would like to see,” said Danielle Gerlach, ETK president. “AAR was the most popular, and we are all so excited for this announcement and the concert. We really tried to listen to the students and bring someone almost everyone could enjoy. ETK is ready for everyone to know about AAR and get excited for them.”

In 2016 Donovan, who now calls Nashville, Tenn., home, signed his first deal with Big Yellow Dog Music—the label that also represents Meghan Trainor, Maren Morris and Jessie James Decker. His self-titled EP debuted at No. 14 on the Singer-Songwriter iTunes chart, and his most-recent single, “Like a Radio,” was released in July.

The event is sponsored by Entertainment ToKnight, Wartburg’s student-led club charged with bringing social, cultural and educational opportunities to the college.
