Dan Laaveg, a University of Iowa doctoral student in organ performance, will play during the final “Bach’s Lunch” concert series of the academic year, Friday, April 13.

The concert begins at 12:30 p.m. in Wartburg Chapel. It will be preceded by a noon lunch and explanation of the program in Chapel Commons.

His program will include J.S. Bach’s “Praeludium et Fuga in G,” “Premier Livre d’Orgue: Kyrie” by Nicolas de Grigny, “Organ Sonata No. 5” by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and “Reformation Suite” by Gerhard Krapf.

Laaveg, who earned a master’s degree in organ performance from Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in vocal music education from Northwestern College, serves as the worship director for First Presbyterian Church in Marengo. He also has directed choirs in Sioux Center and at Waterloo East High School.
