Sen. Bernie Sanders, a leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination, will visit Wartburg College Friday, Jan. 8.

The Vermont senator will speak in the McCaskey Lyceum in Saemann Student Center at noon. Doors will open at 11 a.m. The event is part of Sanders’ four-day swing through Iowa. The town hall meeting will include remarks from Sanders and time for questions.

Sanders is the longest-serving independent in U.S. Congressional history and the ranking minority member on the Senate Budget Committee.

Guests should park in the lot east of Neumann Auditorium and use the south entrance of Saemann Student Center.
