The Wartburg College Wind Ensemble will present its annual fall concert Nov. 7-8.

The band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in Neumann Auditorium. Admission is free.

Craig A. Hancock, director of bands and professor of music, directs the Wind Ensemble.

The band will perform “Mystic Call” by Karl King, “October” by Eric Whitacre and “Arabesque” by Samuel Hazo, who spent a weekend in residence at the college in February. James Swearingen’s “How Firm Thy Friendship,” which features a tune familiar to Wartburg alumni — the loyalty song — also will be played, as will pieces by Shelley Hanson and Alan Fletcher.

The 59-member ensemble will tour central Europe during the college’s May Term.
