Ladies Night Out — Waverly retailers will hold their spring “Ladies Night Out” Thursday, March 29. The event will kick off at 5 p.m. at the Waverly Chamber of Commerce office, 118 E. Bremer Ave., and College Town Plaza, W. Bremer Avenue and 10th Street NW, with the first 50 to arrive receiving a free fashion scarf, which also will entitle them to additional offers. Self-Help fundraiser — Self-Help International’s annual fundraiser will be a global affair, featuring Bill Shepherd’s Big Band Combo along unique artwork and pottery created by Nicaraguan and Ghanaian artists among its attractions. The event is Friday, March 30, at 7-11 p.m. (doors open at 6:45 p.m.), at Centennial Oaks Golf and Country Club in Waverly. The $45 per person cost includes hors d’oevres, buffet and cash bar.
