Join the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra Saturday for a look at the future of classical music.

If you’ve experienced its performances before — or just heard about it from others who have attended — you already know the WCFCO concerts are anything but average symphony fare, and this Saturday that same enterprising approach includes unique guest artist, Timo Andres, a twenty-something composer and pianist who brings a much-needed breath of fresh air to the orchestra world.

Hear his thoughts on music before he performs a live “remix” of a Mozart piano concerto, which uses as its starting point Mozart’s practice of improvising at the piano during performances. Timo takes on the dual role of performer and composer, filling in unfinished sections of Mozart’s piece with his own stylings.
