A Wartburg College physics professor will explore the concept of life in the universe during the November session of Keep on Learning at Wartburg.

Dr. Charles Figura, associate professor of physics and director of Wartburg’s Platte Observatory, will lead classes on Thursday mornings, Nov. 3, 10, 17 and Dec. 1, in the Heritage Room of Saemann Student Center. Coffee is available at 9 a.m., followed by the presentation from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Parking is available near Saemann Student Center for those entering campus on Wartburg Boulevard.

Pre-registration is not required, and a $30 fee is payable at the second class.

Figura will discuss Life and the Universe, Nov. 3; Life on Earth, Nov. 10; Life in the Solar System, Nov. 17; and Life Among the Stars, Dec. 1. He taught a popular Keep on Learning session on astronomy last year and hosts monthly “Wartburg Nights” open houses at Platte Observatory.
