The Wartburg College Forensics Team will read Halloween stories to children at three locations in Waverly on Thursday, Oct. 27.

Stories are scheduled at the following places and times:

• Waverly Public Library, 9-9:30 a.m., for kindergarten and first-grade students from West Cedar Elementary.

• Waverly Childcare and Preschool, 10-10:30 a.m., for children in the 4- and 5-year-old rooms.

• St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Center for Ministry, 11-11:30 a.m., for students in St. Paul’s extended preschool.

“We look forward to this event every year,” said Dr. Penni Pier, associate professor of communication arts and Wartburg Forensics adviser. “Our students are very excited to share their time and talents with such enthusiastic listeners.”

Pier said the Forensics Team also plans to read holiday stories in December. That schedule will be announced when details are finalized.
