Disability Accommodations

At Wartburg College, we are committed to providing equal or equally effective alternative access to academic, social, cultural, and recreational programs for all visitors with disabilities. Our faculty, staff, and students aim to make appropriate adjustments to provide classroom accommodations, auxiliary aids, and services. These accommodations allow all visitors to Wartburg equal opportunities inside our facilities and around campus.

If you are seeking accommodations for yourself or your child, please read through each section carefully. Points of contact and necessary documentation vary for each accommodation request.

For those who qualify, summer camp participants may request special housing accommodations for the duration of their stay on the Wartburg College campus. Please complete the following request form for housing accommodation review.

For further questions or to request a status update, please contact Kayla Seppelt at Kayla.Seppelt@Wartburg.edu or (319) 352-8286.

Wartburg College will hold items left behind by summer campers for up to 4 weeks at which time they will be discarded. It is the responsibility of families to pick-up items left after the conclusion of their camp. Wartburg College is not responsible for the shipping and handling of personal items left on campus.

Summer camp participants may have a food-related disability that limits their ability to participate in our meal program, such as food allergies or an autoimmune disease. These individuals may request a modification to the campus meal program or financial compensation in lieu of participation.

For further questions or to request a status update, please contact Chris Fosselman at Chris.Fosselman@Wartburg.edu or (319) 352-8303.

Families are welcome to bring mini-fridges and microwaves to keep and prepare meals in their dorm rooms. Microwaves are also accessible during mealtimes in Saemann Student Center. Wartburg College is unable to provide mini fridges to summer campers.

Emotional Support Animals

Service Animals
Appropriately identified service animals are welcome on the Wartburg College campus. The animal must wear easily identifiable service gear and remain with their owner at all times. Discernable housing will be provided to allow ease of care for the animal.
